| 1) Examine Your Site |
Before you can tap into the power of WonderLinks, you will need to choose a page which you can add the WonderLinks code to.
The WonderLinks code inserts a directory table into your page. You might even want to create a separate page for this directory
and call it a directory. Here is an example. There must be a link on your homepage to the page which contains the WonderLinks code. Make sure that your server supports either php, asp or perl scripting.
You cannot embed WonderLinks code in a static HTML page or a secured page (https). It will only work if the server is configured to
serve pages written in one of the scripting languages mentioned above. If you do not know how to create a web page with a dynamic scripting language, then WonderLinks is probably too advanced to suit your needs.

| 2) Get The WonderLinks Code |
You can copy the WonderLinks code from one of the following pages depending on which scripting language you feel most comfortable with.
Remember that you cannot insert WonderLinks code into a static HTML page (a page ending in .html).
PHP - ASP - PERL
| 3) Configure The WonderLinks Code |
Once you have placed the WonderLinks code into a page on your site which is linked to from your home page, you are ready
to configure the WonderLinks code. Change the URL, WONDERLINKS_URL, CATEGORY, TITLE, and DESCRIPTION variables at the top of the WonderLinks code.
Both URLs can be up to 120 alphanumeric characters long, the title can be up to 60 alphanumeric characters long and the description can be up to 255 alphanumeric characters long. Both URLs are required.
Once you have added the WonderLinks code to your site, you are finished. The next time the page is visited by someone, WonderLinks
will automatically add your URL to the directory and will begin to routinely check your website to make sure that the code is still present. If you
remove the WonderLinks code from your site, your URL will be automatically removed from the WonderLinks directory.
Remember that only clean sites are allowed to participate in the WonderLinks program. Sites that are found to violate the Terms of Use
may be removed from WonderLinks.
| 4) Customize The Appearance |
The first page of the directory contains a table with a css class name of class1. When you click on any of the categories, you'll see a results page which contains
a table with a css class name of class2. You can set the style attributes for these two classes to change the appearance of the directory. Read up on css to learn more.
It is not necessary to customize the directory if you do not feel inclined to do so.
| 5) Use The URL Tool |
By now everything should be in working order. Every now and then you might want to use the WonderLinks URL Tool to check and see
if your site is still included in the WonderLinks directory. As long as you've abided by the rules, there should be no
surprises. You can use the tool to check a URL to see if it is included or banned from the WonderLinks Directory.
